Peterborough has a good traffic system and you can cut through to the A1 via Newark so its not that difficult to get there. There are several reasonably priced car parks around the town centre and if you don't mind a small walk you can park free on the outskirts of town. The train would probably be considerably more expensive too unless your car isn't economical. The traffic in Peterborough is probably no better or worse than any other city and usually flows fairly well. I would drive.

Drive yourself by train!
Even,it is harder, you may act properly for a safe planet!
Methinks, you may spend a nice time while waiting before coming home by reading newspaper, for example, or doing some house shopping if there's a supermarket on your walk to the station!

Drive if u have a navigation system installed in your car, otherwise, youre better off taking the train if u know where to get off.
