i would say no not in the strict sense of a backflip the cat can backflip but not without twisting its spine, so it cannot go strictly feet over head ---------just my opinion

yes a cat can do a backflip if u hav a very very very very good trainer it can do almost anything

yes, my cat can. he does backflips when birds swoop down on him in the garden trying to protect their babies. he jumps up as they swoop down and ends up backflipping. it's very cool to watch!!!

Yah, while they play they may accidentially do one, but I don't think on purpose. I've seen my cats do that many times and finally realize how flexible they are!
