just wondering. and if u are wondering what type of boats, just name all the answers u have.

I have to go with boat. My boat weighs 3300 lbs. My anchor 20 lbs. when deployed, the anchor puts enough drag to prevent the boat from moving in the current. If the anchor weighed as much as the boat, the displacement of water would make the area of the boat where the anchor resides when at the surface heavier than the water being displaced, causing it to sink.

Yes, the boat is much heavier than the anchor unless your in an ultra light inflatable boat.

sometimes it is not how heavy the boat is it is how much does it weigh in length I ankor on a battle ship is about near to a ton
umm small speed boat and row boats the ankor is about 80 to 120 pound and very different configuations of ankoors I had a boat once that was wire mesh floor and ifflatible side I could row it or attach a outboard it was neat it was like 9 pounds in all with out motor

the boat is definitely heavier.the boat is just less dense than the anchor so it floats and the anchor sinks.
