The borders are a big issue, I don't agree that its bigger than Iraq. Most of us just get sick of the libs trashing W every night, and want to work on something else.
Tell me, are unemployment levels at near record lows? I believe they are. Most immigrants are looking for the better life that is available in US. A secure border should keep out the drugs and gangs. Otherwise, I have no problem with most immigrants, themselves. But remember Miami Vice, wasn't that like 1983? Our borders weren't secure then either. What is needed is a level-headed immigration policy that ensures adequate numbers of workers for our low-level jobs to fuel our economy. The policy needs to address the hard workers that are here illegaly (read:no amnesty), and deport the illegals that commit crimes.
The argument that they are here illegally, and that the first thing they did in this country was to break the law; is too touchy-feely. What, you ALWAYS stop at stop signs? And NEVER go faster than the speed limit?
Again, kick out and stop the druggers and gang members, and ensure adequate labor source.

Yes, we should use all those money to close the broader first... AFTER we take care of our own problems, we can then do something else like kicking terrorists butt in Iraq.
Think about it, we had so many years to close the broader before 9/11 happen ... but the government just didn't give a sh** about this issue. And now it's too late because terrorists are a bigger enemy.

I think the two issues are related. Think about it. Why go there and kick their donkeys when they have so many donkeys here coming in through our pourous borders? Why not forget about defending Israel and foreign oil or terrorism and focus just on what is happening right here? The draft is wrong. By trying to fight a foreign war and the civil war pouring in through our border we'd be wasting billions and have to institute a draft.
We have to end the billions of wasteful spending on the war, redeploy the troops to our borders, end the immigrant worker program, stop granting citizenship to crude impovershed nonenglish speaking foreigners, and stop allowing special rights to all kinds of weirdos.

That is the most important issues facing this country if we and our government don't deal with this issue now this country if we want to continue as a law biding country
If we do not enforce our law then nobody will abide by any, it will be a pick and choose rule of law and that leads to anarchy. That is hard to control when it starts.
