This is really an eye opener.... Water or Coke?
We all know that water is important but I've never seen it written down
like
this before.
Water
1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often
mistaken for hunger.
3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost
100%
of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study!
5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue
6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could
significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory,
trouble
with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a
printed page.
8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer
by
45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50%
less
likely to develop bladder cancer.
And ! now for the properties of COKE
1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of
Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in
two
days (meat will completely dissolve).
3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and
let
the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in
Coke
removes stains from vitreous china.
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a
rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminium foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of
Coca-Cola
over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the
rusted bolt for several minutes.
7. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of
greasy
clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola
will
help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your
windshield.
For Your Info
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It
will
dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium
from
bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.
2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must
use
the Hazardous Material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive
materials.
3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of
their
trucks for about 20 years!
Now, the question is, would you like a glass of water or coke?

I read the other answers to this question so I thought I would add my opinion as well. I have never heard of a documented case of coca-cola "eating away" at someone's insides. I think that a lot of things can be bad for you if you are excessive, but most things are okay if taken in moderation. I think this is true with coca-cola as well. I think probably the most damaging element in coke is the sugar, which can cause obesity and tooth decay among other things. As far as any acid in coke, I really think our own digestive acids are stronger and that the acid in coke will not harm us as long as we don't have a medical condition which would make it so.

Carbonated beverages like the one you mention strip enamel from teeth, stain your teeth and break down your bones in general by leaching away the calcium (the combination of caffeine, carbonic acid and other additives.) And the constant sugar-coating encourages cavities.
So, where teeth are concerned, it's horrid. Dentists who have addicted patients often recommend that you use a straw to drink colas to bypass the effects on the teeth as much as possible.
As for your stomach -- again, not so great. It may be a contributing factor in ulcers -- especially for those prone to ulcers anyway.
Systemically, it's a bad idea to drink colas -- and it's even worse if you add the additional problems associated with artificial sweeteners for these drinks.
My advice? Steer Clear!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://tinyurl.im/aHLt7
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Always have vegetables on hand. Saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in olive oil and garlic. Add some red pepper as well as turmeric for additional flavor along with separate into portion-sized containers for that fridge.

To be honest, pretty bad. Check this out.
In children it causes weight issues as well as other developmental issues (when consumed in large amounts).
Dental studies prove that drinking 3 or more servings of soda a day causes 62% more cavities and tooth loss. So these soda drinkers are not only gaining weight, they are destroying their teeth.
Diet soda contains aspartame, which has been linked to different types of cancer, and most articles indicate that it actually causes weight gain, due to water retention. Also, this sugar substitute can increase you insulin level, which is your fat making hormone.
By the way, i'm drinking one right now. ; )

Coke contains sodium benzoate, a chemical that in acidic solutions (such as sodas) can break down into benzene, a known carcinogen. Also, the caramel coloring for Coke is made by an ammonia process-- ammonia is toxic. The phosphoric acid in coke causes low blood levels of calcium, resulting in a higher risk for brittle bones and fractures, especially for children. And Diet Coke is no better, as the artificial sweeteners in it (Aspartame, Acesulfame K) pose many health risks, including cancer.
