Lovers can be great friends after a break up. Everybody knows everybody's baggage and buttons. If you can maintain the intimacy of the friendship and convert the sexuality to a kind of familial love, it could be good.

that is a tough question to answer with no info from you. if you are doing most everything together, having sex like you always did, and not arguing then really nothing has changed. it is probably better. but if you are just roommates then the outcome will be a negative one at the least. however, if there is no jealousy and the relationship turned into great friends, with no sex involved, then it should be okay.
maybe, what is going on is both of you are trying to decide whether to reconnect or not.
so little info this makes for a tough question.
good luck and be happy!

I actually know of 2 people who are living with their ex's and both are looking for an other place to live. They say it's ok at the beginning but hard to start over and forget the bad while still living under the same roof.

I don't think you should. You have broken up, and therefore have split your emotional ties to each other.
Of course, it doesn't matter really. You can still live together as just FRIENDS and nothing more.
The prospect of this does not matter, if you are both fine about it and hold no argument on the subject.

Once you're broken up, the living arrangements should change!! How can you bring your new boyfriend to your house or how will you feel when he brings his new girlfriend to your house or when he starts to get ready to go on a date. How would you feel if your new boyfriend ws still living with his old girlfriend?

My best friend did the exact same thing and it was only for financial reasons..and she still loved him..but she knew it would never work out. I believe it wasn't the healthiest thing she has ever done for herself, but she finally moved out and they are still friends..but it is hard for her to be friends with him. I think if you WANT to live together, you must still have something together...but if it is for the wrong reasons then it doesn't make sense!

Um, yeah. Prolly not. Majorly unhealthy. Even if in your brain you know that its done and over with, it will still screw with your heart and possibly even give you hope that it will work. Its definately time for someone to relocate. :)
