Does that mean only Christians? Only Christians who believe like I do? Or is my brother everyone in the world?
Including Muslims? who don't believe in Jesus Christ?

The scripture in 1John 4:20 & 21 where it talks about loving your brother is referring to fellow believers - those who believe the same as you do. Those words were written to christians in the first century who back then had the truth and were Jesus' true followers.
However Jesus also commanded us to love our neighbour as ourselves (Matthew 22:39) - which would mean all human beings regardless of race, culture or faith, so we should have love for everyone. John 3:16 also says that god loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son.... The world here refers to all mankind, they can all have the opportunity to benefit from what god has done if they choose to.

Basically - 'brother' in the first scripture is referring to fellow believers, and our 'neighbour' refers to everyone else.see galatians 6:10

Actually the scripture is to love they neighbor as thyself. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, the Samartan was the only one who took pity upon the man on the road to help, a man he had never met before. One thing most people don't understand about that parable is that the Jews and Samaritans did not get along during the time of Christ, so in essence this man was helping his "enemy". Therefore, you should help anyone and everyone in need of your servies when asked.

you should love everyone even if they are nailing you to a cross that is the true meaning if you cling to christians you are a cult also as for the muslims sounds like someone is ill informed about muslims and christ but anyway what about thomas i guess he didnt believe in jesus christ either since when they said he was risen he said he would believe it when he could put hi fingers in the holes and jesus returned to let him do just that after the resurection ask your pastor about doubting thomas and read your bible please

You are to love everyone, including the homosexual, the Islamic terrorist, the pro-choice activist, the atheist who is working to remove the 10 commandments from the public building, the homeless man on the street corner, the atheist who calls you a fool and idiot, the What Should I Do Retard, and everyone else.

You know, you're supposed to love everybody. The Bible says love your brothers and love your enemies. Kind of doesn't leave anybody out does it? You don't have to approve of any sinful or evil actions a person commits, but you aren't supposed to hate the person. I think it's hard for people to separate that sometimes. I see that all the time in here. People who are representing Christians getting angry and saying ugly things to people who make anti-Christian statements. We aren't supposed to beat people over the head, we're supposed to approach them in a spirit of love. Also, some of the things people say in here are so far out there, that you know they're just trying to get someone angry. You aren't supposed to tangle yourself up with those kind of people. The Bible says not to get into vain and useless arguments and not to cast your pearls before swine. So, approach people with a spirit of godly love and leave the obvious troublemakers alone.

Jesus teaches us to love our brothers as we love ourselves. Your not finishing the lesson. That could be why there is so much confusion. Jesus also teaches that God loves all people who love him. Do you see the difference between what is believed and what really is said?

Read the bible. A man asked Jesus the same question and the answer is in there if you take the time to look it up.
