I have never noticed that. Apparently you have attended a large number of altar calls.

True....In order to truly convert a total non-believer there would have to be some evidence that this is the real deal...
I think that is why the converts are people who have gone before, because when they get their lives all tangled up, they think that the solution is to get back in church in order to get their lives right with God....

Going to church, praying, won't save a person. Even knowing that He is there won't do it. The devils believe that much and they tremble. You have to BELIEVE that He is who He said He is. You have to Believe that He will do what He said He would do. If you have that faith you are then a christian and not just a church goer.. See the difference? Jim

I think a knowledge of God and healthy respect for Him is often but definitely not always the case that lead a person to the realization that they need a savior. Whether you agree with him or not, the apostle Paul used the prophets and law (O.T.), where the nature and character of God are revealed, to eventually lead people to convert to Christ.

I just rated your question with a thumbs up. Great question and Spirit Filled to boot.
I could write volumes on this question but I'm not allowed.
To answer your question simply, nobody comes to Jesus Christ the Saviour except it be by the Father...etc.
Read your Bible for more information or e-mail me and we can continue in this format till you get on your own feet.><>

The bible says their each one of us is a seed! As a third generation of christian, Ive always knew of a presense that only can be explained in prayer! For example when I was 8 and sometimes I would pray I could see in my mind or in a vission young boys & girls crying, kids in some african decent! Miracles that some of us have witnessed cannot be explained! for an example one of my aunts we prayed forn in churches in madera, CA and san jose CA, was healed from brain cancer! no one can deny it because we have the xray photos so you decide yourself..

The point being?
Once you get saved you can't go to the altar?
You misunderstand the purpose of the altar. The altar is a place for people to go and ask forgiveness. It is a place to "sacrifice" yourself for God. Humans mess up.

Because in order to be saved you have to BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ, THEN be baptized for the remission of sin.
Go read the book of Acts and see how they were saved if you've got further quesitons
