As a foreigner, I would like to live in NY because I can eat all the cuisines of the world. I can buy books/CDs/DVDs/clothes and wouldn't have the difficulty of finding anything I want. In my hometown, there is no such thing as donut! =/
BUT, USA is very problematic and corrupted like any other country, or maybe even worst than most. Racism is always ongoing. Conservativeness is very high, so the teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases are very high. Less poverty? So what explains the high crime rate? Black people? That is nonsense. America has huge problems but I am no socialist to try to solve them. And my country is way worse =(

how can it be a great country. America is so corrupt the president didn't even win the election on the most votes! It has chronic obesity issues and the denial of the black white divide is completely unbelievable.the USA invaded a country under false pretences and massacred its people simply to profit from its oil reserves. In American films based on factual events America always seems to save the world when in reality this is simply not the case for example pearl harbour and team America world police.

It's only great in comparision to a lot of other places. We do have a lot of freedoms and opportunities, but we also have some serious issues that aren't being dealt with. That, and our country's history of being a world leader has made us very arrogant. That's one of the reasons the rest of the hates us.

Stupid girl, stupid American girl.
NOTE: I am a proud American who served in the U.S. Army, but I'm ashamed of the poor education that our kids are getting these days in public school.

I like that it has alot of different land types/climates. The northeast is different from the southwest, etc. You can have the wooded forests of Pennsylvania or the plains like Kansas.
