I feel that people have grown more and more out of touch with each other, and now don't even consider using their turn signals.
Surprisingly, right after 9/11, I noticed, at least where I live, that a lot more people were not only using their turn signals, but were actually acknowledging each other on the road, and in the stores. It seemed to awaken the realization that we are all in this world together.
Unfortunately, people are once again forgetting that concept.

AAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNN! It's also dangerous.
1) if there's no shoulder & no blinker = no warning before sudden stops!
2) if I knew you were gonna get in front of me suddenly I could've braked a little.
3) once you're in the left-turn only lane, I know you're gonna turn left. I could've used a blinker to let me know you were gonna slow down so you can pull into the turning lane!!! There is no need once you've already braked hard & swooped into the turn lane to then put on your blinker - I hate this one the most!
4) same thing with the right turn only lanes - lol
5) B/c of this problem I am so afraid to drive directly next to someone, b/c I never know if they're gonna suddenly swoop over into my car. At least if a blinker was used I could brake or honk to warn you that I'm there.
I think people don't care. Also the jerks who don't let peolpe over are partly to blame for this. Since no one lets you in when you put on your blinker, people resort to cutting you off. They don't realize that for every car they don't let over, 3 cars are ahead of them getting into the lane, and 5 are getting out of the lane. It DOESN'T make a difference so just let the person over!!! Geesh! Ok, thank you, now I won't have road rage on the way home, lol. p.s. I live in L.A. too & it doesn't make driving MORE dangerous to use them.

"When I'm in a turn lane, I don't use my turn signal. If that annoys you, you're probably in the wrong lane." jwest0125
Hey, guess what, More people depend on your signal than just the ones behind you. oncoming traffic won't always know what lane you're in. Have you ever seen those lane where you can go straight or left/right? You may know what the lane you're in, but others may overlook that. This is the kind of neglegence that gets people killed on a daily basis.

This drives me mad too. I feel like ramming into people who don't use their turn indicator while they have a sudden turn. It happens hear in Banglore too. Here each and every rule is broken every day. It is so frustrating that we can see people breaking the rules and we can't do anything about it and even the traffic patrol.

It drives me mad too. I don't know why they don't use them anymore. I think others believe that if they know where they are going we should know too.
It is hard for me to say this, being a female myself, but I have found that women are worst at not using the flashy light thing! Maybe when they take their hand off the wheel to flick the switch, it breaks a nail!!
I bite my nails so I use the indicator all the time!!

I live in Los Angeles, and the reason we dont use turn indicators is because it makes driving dangerous. When other drivers dont know what you are wanting to do, they wont speed up or slow down to block your path. When I do use them, I make sure I'm ready to cut someone off really badly...be careful out there

You must live in Iowa. When I first moved here I asked the women I live with why people in Iowa do not signal. I rode with a man today who not only did not signal, he ran the stop signs.

They assume that if people see them then it's OBVIOUS what they're doing.
More than likely they would have to put the cell phone down to flip the turn lever, and that's not gonna happen. Idiots.

People as a rule only think of themselves and don't care about how their poor decisions impact other around them in vehicles or pedestrians
