how do you make a long distance relationship work?

i live in Alberta Canada and he is going home to Manchester England. i want to keep what we have but i just am unsure how to make it work

The Internet has made it easier. Email and IM each night. Flirt a lot and let him remember why you are special to him. Cards and letters are the traditional way, plus the occasional phone call to hear each others voice.

you could call and email him often. you may try to visit him every now and then.
