First if the cat is not spayed get her spayed soon, That can usually stop the problem.
Second using vinegar clean all the areas she has already sprayed to get rid of the odor and prevent respraying in that spot.
Last get a spray bottle of water, When the cat sprays anywhere in the home, Give her a good soaking with the spray bottle, Cats hate water squirted on them and will avoid doing things that is associated with getting water squirted on it.

female cats most certainly do spray!! spaying can fix the problem, if it is related to the heat cycle. other common reasons that cats spray are:
dirty litter box--- this is the number one reason. this cannot be overstated. the box must be kept clean or some cats absolutely will not use it.
a change in litter, an aversion to a particular litter, or the smell of scented litter.
the cat may have a bladder infection. the only way to know for sure is to take her to the vet. a cat with a bladder infection may just pee wherever she is because it is so uncomfortable to hold it, or she may learn to associate the litterbox with the pain of urination.
if you have other cats, she may be nervous, and marking her territory. this is a more complicated problem. make sure that you have one litterbox for every cat that you have, and that they are in different rooms. try getting a feliway diffuser. it releases hormones that tell the cat that they have already marked in that area, and make the cat feel calmer. they are expensive, but can be a cure. try to get it online rather than at somewhere like petsmart, because they charge twice as much.
good luck.

I have had 2 female cats that "mark" or "spray" when in heat... it is not only males who do this as people commonly think. The absolute ONLY way to stop your cats from doing this, is to get them SPAYED!!! I can tell you from experience that there is no other solution except to give them a new home which is against my principals. In the event that your cats are spayed and are still marking, you need to confine them to a smaller and smaller areas in your house... they generally start using the box again if you take away some of the other rooms they like to go in leaving them only access to say, the kitchen and bathroom. I was having problems with my cats eliminating in my basement so I banned them from there and they started only going in thier box again.

When female cats are in heat they mark their territory with urine to let male cats know they are ready to mate. Females usually wet a spot and don't 'spray' like against the walls as males do. The females can do both however.
Your cat needs to be spayed right now. The behavior almost always stops then. Don't delay this -- like get her in next week. Once any cat has their urine markings all over a house it can be VERY hard to break them of this indiscriminate urination.

Female cats don't spray. If your female cats are tinkling in the house, they probably have a Urinary Tract Infection. It's very common. The may need medicine and lots of fresh water.

You should get your cat spayed if it isn't already. My male cat used to spray everywhere but I've never heard of a female doing that before?

Female cats pee, males are the only ones that spray, but I agree...getting her fixed would probably solve the problem. Just make sure that you keep her litterbox cleaned, she just might be very picky about it. If you catch her peeing , pick her up and put her in the litter box, maybe she'll get the idea.
