While I am truly sorry that you underwent such torture, I'm not sure why you think atheism had anything to do with it. Were there not Catholic preists jailed for child molestation? Didn't the preacher's wife murder him last spring? Didn't Evangelist/Cult Leader Jim Jones convince all of his followers to drink deadly poison?
You certainly didn't deserve to be molested, but you have no reason to condemn atheism nor reason to praise religion.

Im so very sorry for your pain. Your Father is a monster and needs to be stopped. Have you called the police? Please report him to someone you can trust immedietly. You should hate him for what he did. I was molested when I was 6 years old by an uncle and I still feel hate for him at times and I have forgiven him after over 30 years. I would never want to see him or trust him for one second with my children. Tell someone that can help you. Gods Peace

Using your logic, why not hate priests for molesting children? Or perhaps hating the entire catholic / christian population?
And for whynotaskdon: I'm an atheist. I've never molested anyone nor do I anticipate ever doing so in my lifetime. I do not need a god or a bible or a priest or a rabbi to tell me what is right and what is wrong. I don't consider myself to be depraved and in need of being saved. Especially by believing in someones god who also glorifies evil (Isaiah 45:7).

Un huh... suuure he did.
Folks this is what we in the buisness call Pious Fraud. It's a form of blood liebel that christians use in an attempt to discredit atheists. It stems from the knowledge that thier god is fake but that the church makes SO much money for them that they just can't leave that particular addiction.
Disgusting is what it is. But, typically, christian.

First off, I highly doubt he molested you because he is atheist.
He molested you because he gave into his sin nature and lets it rule him instead of him ruling it.
Molesters come with all different backgrounds and upbringings.
Hate is a word that you personally need to remove from your life.
With God as your master, you will be able to forgive what was done to you. This forgivness is for yourself, to remove the hate from inside you Forgiveness is not done for the abuser.
There is no forgiveness for the abuser unless they themselves submit to God instead of their lusts and desires.
You forgive simply to obey God and clear your heart of the hate that you feel.
