Online Tax Registration

Online Tax Registration is an Internet version of the Application to Collect and/or Report Tax in Florida (Form DR-1).

Use this application to register

1. New business entities
2. New business locations
3. Changes of county location (from one Florida county to another)
4. Changes of legal entity (i.e., proprietorship to corporation, etc.)

You register a corporate entity, usually, with a state's tax agency for a sales tax ID because you plan to sell goods that are subject to sales tax. You'll need to track every item sold that's subject to sales tax then you submit that portion of the money collected for sales tax back to the state. You should contact your state's tax agency on how to register your business and what the procedures in recording and submitting the sales tax!

Try going to the main page for the state of Florida. They can probably point you in the right direction.
