Please don't try to explain to me that denominations are useless and man-made or that your church is non-denominational because that is like a denomination.

I go to a Missionary Baptist church. I feel that MBs allow you to develop your own relationship with God (within scripture, of course). We don't tell people what to wear or what to eat, as that's for them and God to decide. I love the fellowship we have with one another, as we don't have boards, so everyone is equal. We decide everything as a group in our business meetings. I love the fact we don't really have rituals that are required. Baptism and Lord's Supper are good for people, but they aren't forced upon a person for salvation. Salvation is only by trusting in Christ, no rituals or works required. I feel free in my relationship with Christ.

Dear The Dave,

The "church age" is over! The Lord is no longer using any local congregations to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are presently in a church, I would strongly advise you to leave it. The Bible commands the true believers (elect) to come out of the churches (Revelation 18:4; Matthew 24:15, 16; Jeremiah 25). If you read 2 Thessalonians 2 you will see that the man of sin (satan) is now ruling in the churches and the Holy Spirit has absented Himself. Therefore, NO ONE can be saved from their sins regardless of the accuracy of the preaching! Take a look at Ezekiel 9. Salvation is still possible outside of the churches. "For many are called, but few are chosen." If you would like further info please refer to the website below.

I attend an independent fundamental Baptist church. I like that anytime a person comes to my church they can hear the gospel and learn how to go to heaven. I like that it is an extended family that is always there for each other both in prayer and in assistance in other ways. I like that the Spirit of God has freedom to move in the hearts of his people. I like learning more about the Bible each time I go.

I attend a Greek Orthodox Church.

I have also attended other Orthodox Churches in different states.

I enjoy the harmony of the liturgy and the consistency of faith as I attend each church.

Advent Christian
We are looking for the second coming of Jesus.
We also believe that when we die we are asleep in the Lord and the second death is not torment in hell but eternal death so you would no longer exist. We believe that the believers in Jesus are the only ones promised eternal life. Check out sight below, at bottom of page is What we believe and faith statement.

Calvary Chapel. It's a church that teaches through the Bible, cover to cover, with an emphasis on prophecy. The people tend to be quite friendly there too.

My family and i attend an Episcopal Church. Since i was raised Catholic it is very similar. What i like about it is it has all the pageantry and none of the guilt.

reformed Christian.

i never understood the difference; but at the one i go to now, i FEEL it. before, i was always taught that we have to feel guilty for our sins, and constantly seek atonement.

now, simply, i've learned something that truly touched me. and even if others don't understand or agree, it's ok. i don't judge them, i hope they don't judge me.

Romans 5-8: accepting Jesus died for our sins, means you are Justified --> Not Guilty. of past, present and future sins. truly accepting that leads u to Peace, under God's Grace. forever. so no matter waht mistakes we will make (and boy will we ever!), it's O.K. because i've accepted Jesus' sacrifice. and the way I WANT to thank Him for that, is not trying to be "perfect"..because that's impossible. i just want to live as Good, Well, Healthy, Happy, Helpful, and Positive as i can. knowing this, and truly Rejoicing in the Sacrifice instead of feeling guilty about it, has truly changed my life. i am FREE now to serve God as best to my ability; and if i make mistake, or fall, or sin, i am already forgiven; so i can just pick myself right up and start over, keep changing, keep seeking, keep bettering myself. i believe that is what Jesus' sacrifice WAS all about. to stop us from punishing ourselves, and doing good things to Impress others, to act like "better Christians" than other people. that has nothing to do with truly understanding the meaning of being Thankful, and wanting to do Good because you CHOOSE to, not because u should.

i like that i can keep learning, growing, and seeking love, knowledge and understanding. i am not perfect, but Jesus gives me the chance to keep going, regardless of my human imperfections. thru His blood, i am perfect in God's eyes. instead of berating myself for my flaws, i can live my life *as if* i am already in heaven, already perfect. and that gives me the Will to keep trying. :) and i don't think people are wrong if they don't agree.. i just want to encourage everyone to seek what they feel is Good, Positive, Healthy, and ultimately Happy in their lives.. not temporary satisfaction like Alcohol and Drugs, but True Happiness. True Goodness. i trust people to know what is Positive and Negative...but i just want to encourage people to seek that. most likely than not they will realize that they do'nt look down on Others anymore...they are so busy trying to seek Good things, and the probably will end up doing more good than TRYING to follow a certain path, or rules and regulations. :) good luck to us all!
