I now cannot find the original within my computer in any of my Nero files. Did the computer not retain this copy? If so, how do I find it, what pathway do I follow?

Usually when you use software to make a copy of a cd or dvd it only retains the file temporarily. There is sometimes an option to retain the "temp" file but in Nero if you make a copy the file is automatically deleted after the burn so your hard drive space is freed up for future use.

If you only have one DVD drive on your machine, Nero will copy the files off the Cd or DVD into a temporary directory on your PC, have you swap the disk for a blank one, burn the files to the disk and then remove them from your PC. It does not leave them on the PC.

If you want to take the files (assuming video) off a DVD and copy it to your PC, you will need to get a DVD ripping program.

That's why I quit using NERO. It deletes your file! You can search for "video_ts files" but I think you're out of luck!
