Of course! Some of my best friends are women. Some of them are still single, others have gotten married, and we're still friends.
I don't understand why people think ANY relationship someone has with someone of the opposite sex has to be romantic. The things you look for in a friend are not ONLY found in one gender or the other.
My goal is to OPTIMIZE each relationship - always be a friend first, and if it goes further than that, great! If it doesn't, that's great too! It's the best the relationship can be. What's wrong with that?

No. Men are always thinking about sex. Unless of course the girl is a beast. On the other hand women can be friends with a man and not see them in a sexual way.

They can be friends, but never thinking of sex? No way...
And women think about it as well. I have a few male friends, who are just friends, and I've imagined having sex with them. It's normal I think. Sex is aways on our mind. :-)

I totally know you can, my best friend is a male and we live together we spend just about all of our free time together. And we have on many occasions slept in the same bed without anything ever happening. I look at him like my brother I couldn't imagine being anything else.

yes. my best friend is a guy and we have been friends since we were fourteen and we are now 22 and still the best of friends. we never messed around or had sex. its always been like brother and sister and we are still as close now.

they can be friends, but i think the sex thing will come up now and again....the most important thing between the man and woman friendship is respect....
