Tylenol or Advil

Fever lets you know something is amiss. Get rid of whatever is causing the fever and it will go away.

I have no idea what the cowbell reference is about.

Jesus did compare sin to illness. And I think the analogy is a good one. Sin usually causes unwanted consequences. Too many times people want to get rid of the consequences without dealing with the sin that causes them. It doesn't work.

Some people have said Tylenol or Advil for fever. If the fever is an emergency, that's one thing (and consequences, for that matter), but if you just take Tylenol for your fever without dealing with the root cause, it just gets worse. And the Tylenol starts to tax your kidneys.

Until you accept Jesus as your personal savior, you may as well use a cowbell, Oh! How about a voodoo doll!

I get the feeling here you don't give God any credit for the discoveries mankind has made in the treatment of illnesses? No matter we have a lot to help prolong our lives these days. Call it what you will I'll go ahead and give the credit to God where I believe credit is due...Jim
