All that I can tell you for sure is that I don't want to be the one climbing up a tree to pick fruit. I say let them come, let them work. How did we get here in the first place? Look around, unless you are Native American then your ancestors were immigrants too.
I can tell you that I used to manage a restaurant, and the Mexican cooks were the best that there were. They did all of their work, they pulled extra shifts, they always did everything right the first time, you never had to ask more than once, and they never complained. I loved those guys! I do think that there would be a big problem if all of the Hispanics left the country, just as there would be a problem if all of the Asians, African Americans, Germans, Italians, English extra left. This country is great because of immigration!
I would also like to say Yes there are a lot of people looking for work, but they aren't looking to pick fruit, or mow lawns, or clean toilets. Hey guys if you want those jobs, go get them now. I don't see how the Hispanics are taking your jobs. Are you really applying for those jobs anyways?

No but the Mexican economy would take a big hit.
Most of the illegals that come from the south just want to work and have the freedoms we do. That said there is a process and it needs to be followed. Washington is no help here because big business has bought them. It is big business that profits by paying low wages etc to the illegals. The illegals also hurt regular small business' who can't compete with there cheap and untaxed labor. I think we need some kind of worker program but we really need to tighten the borders now. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

Um. Your question isn't clear. If illegal immigrants left the workforce, it has been long argued that the legal hispanic people of the US would quickly take up the slack.

I don't think we would be better off without the legal and illegal hispanics however.

Taking into consideration the number of Spanish Americans.....if they all left, of course the US economy would collapse. Who would do all the jobs held by these people? All the money spent by them would suddenly disappear and this would cripple the commercial sector.

And just in case you were wondering......if you removed any large segment of the American population, the economy would collapse.

Apparently you're Hispanic. But for the record, CITIZENS of America would exist just fine if Hispanic workers left our country.
