Yes. Atheists exist without there being a god. Your logic is weird.

I can see what you're trying to get at but...
Atheists DO exist without God (since there is none).
The idea would be irrelevant if no one had ever created this God idea.
Take unicorns. They don't exist. So, everyone is just fine without them, but there would be no one who disbelieves in unicorns without the idea of unicorns. There might not be a soul on the planet who believes in unicorns, but there are still people who don't believe. Their existence does not depend on unicorns existing, but the IDEA of unicorns.
The fatal error in logic you made was to assume that God exists. Sadly, the fact is that, despite the fact that God does not exist, theists still exist and one would think their existence would depend on there being an actual God.

The prefixes a and non do mean something on their own, they mean without and not respectively. Not an english major, are we? I exist without god every day. You're talking about the *concept* of god, not an actual omnipotent being. Playing with words does not change reality, but then again, I would never expect a theist to have any sort of grip on the concept of reality to begin with.

Yes, atheists can exist without God. Atheists do not believe in God. If there was no God, atheists would still not believe in God.

Your argument works from a linguistic position, but not from some sort of way to glean emperical truth.
Truth is, most atheists hate the term atheist. I don't have to say I am an A-astrologist or a A-unicornists. Most people simply agree astrology is false and unicorns aren't real. Similarly, I should have to say I am an A-theist. However, it is the best way to communicate the position, so it is used.
IF you logic works, then because you are an A-astrologer, that implies that astrology must exist or be true. Or because you are an A-unicornist, that unicorns must exist.
As you can see, that type of logic is idiotic and stupid, so please don't fall in to the trap of trying to make it work.

Well, since there is no God, and there still exists theists in the world; I guess, much like this life, Atheists would still exist.

Your forgetting this is not just the religion section, its also the spirituality section. The title of Atheist cannot exist without theist. But people are not defined by their lack of beliefs, but by their beliefs. I personaly belive the purpose of theists like yourself, is to entertain the people who think, as opposed to those who follow in fear.
If your convoluted logic is true, then the following adamism is also true. Without faith, god is nothing, proof of god eliminates the need for faith, proof of god eliminates god. Silly, but so is your point.

Congrats. Youve blown your own mind. Now for the obvious:
God DOESNT EXIST....and I am here, an atheist. So, I guess atheists CAN exist without God existing....because theism is a man-made phenomenon..... So, in reality, atheists depend upon man to come up with silly ideas of sky pixies, so that we may attempt to show you the errors of your thinking.

Nice try, no banana. It's not the existence of god that makes atheists - it's others' belief in that mythology. Because it's so virulent, a word was created to designate those who do not have this lifelong membership to fantasyland.

Sorry.
Nice try though.
Atheists, reject the childish and thoroughly asinine idea that any such being exists.
The only reason the name "atheist" exists is in so that we can explain to the mindless sheep out there who do think there is a magic-sky pixie, that we reject that outdated notion.
Understand now? Or should I repeat it with much smaller words for you?
