How conceded of any one religion, wether it Christian, moslim, jehovah, jewish, etc, etc, to think that they are the chosen one and that only by believing their way can one make it to the kingdom of heaven. How self-righteous. By doing so, aren't they condemning all of those that don't believe the way they do. And don't they ever stop to think that if each one of them believes so much that theirs is the only way, how can they all be right

They didn't use to be that way. Polytheistic societies such as the Romans and the Greeks didn't have "one way only" religions. Even Judaism is not that way.

However, as Christianity rose, it was among the first to declare the ONE WAY. This scared folks from worshipping many gods into sticking just with Jesus. Enter Constintine and the Roman Empire, and you suddenly have this ONE WAY ONLY style religion spread all throughout Europe.

In a sense, it is evolution (survivial of the fittest). ONE WAY religions are often more effective at recruiting people. As a result, religions that are more open (like judiasm) are marginalized or lost (like Roman Religions) as Christianity gains folks.

Nowadays, anybody who creates a new religion always makes sure to insert that ONE WAY clause to maximize effectiveness (such as Mormons, Bob Jones, Branch Dividians, etc).

In short, the reason why they all say it is it "works" by bringing folks over to the fold.

I'm not sure about other religions, but The Bible says that no one can get to God (therefore, to heaven) except through Jesus Christ. Since true christians believe the Bible is God's word, we must submit to the idea that every other religion is idolatry - even if we don't like it. We must accept the fact that God is supreme and if we are wise we will follow God's ways, even if some of what the Bible teaches is unappealing to us.

But some christians think that only their little group or organization teaches the truth and is saved. Those are the ones to be wary of. The Bible mentions no such group or denomination. All that is required is for one to be born again (John 3:3-5, Acts 2:37-39), i.e. baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost (which follows repentance, naturally). And receiving the Holy Ghost is not necessarily automatic when you "accept Jesus as your savior" (see Acts 19:1,2 and Acts 8:12-17).

different religons have different Gods, I.e the God of christianity is different from the God of the muslims. So how can different religons all serve the same God? For me, The only one true God is Jehovah the God of abraham and The only way to get to him is through Jesus. Lets, think about this for a minute, out of all the religons which one can truly declare that there God is able to die and ressurect themselves and is alive for ever more? All of the other Gods Like allah Muhammed Are dead in the ground some where. So why would you want to be with a dead God?

Because I know what the Bible says. Not all religions lead to the same end, there is only one true faith and you can know who they are by the fruitage they produce just as Jesus stated. I see the fruitage of the so called Christians and others, and I want no part of it. I still have love for everyone and pray they could see the truth but Satan is working overtime blinding the eyes of the unbelievers. The whole world is in his power. suchfun, who do you think the rock is?

Well the Bible says the only way to the Father is through the Son.

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me"

And yes those who don't believe are condemned, not by man but by God. That is why Jesus told us to "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Mat 28:17)

When did it become wrong to tell people the truth? we are not self rightous, just saved by the grace of God alone.

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam in certainty have confidence interior the comparable god. although if, their center ideals and their interpretation of the comprehend god is rather distinctive. while they conflict interior the call of religion that's often through fact they choose to deliver god to the infidels who have confidence in something distinctive than themselves, or through fact they sense their ideals and/or way of existence is threatened with the help of persons with distinctive ideals. although if, there are different religions that have confidence in a distinctive god (or gods) and there are religions that don't fairly have confidence in a remarkable being.

There is only one TRUTH. The Jews worshiped God and then Jesus came to fulfill the prophesies and to open the gates of Heaven and to form a new Church because the Pharacees (sp?) had so corrupted God's commandments. They lived by the LETTER of the law rather than by the SPIRIT of the Law. That Church is the Catholic Church. Jesus said of Peter, "Upon the rock I build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Better get on the right train!

One of them is the right one, I discovered the right one, but I will not mention it to you ( so that you don't misunderstand my answer ), you must look for the right one, because some religions were changed in core by some bad people in the past, and by so, new religion must be the correct one.
One of the religions of GOD is still the original, look for it.
But you must know that the message is tha same in all the religions.

Your argument, Pal, is not with religion, it is with Jesus Himself!
So don't make me laugh with your ignorance...
Apparently you are not aware of what He said:

Jesus said: " I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me".-- Jesus

So go argue with Him about it, and tell him how stupid it is and why God should do it your way...ha, ha, ha...
Maybe you can convince Him , but I REALLY doubt it...ha haha..lol. You certainly don't convince me!

Because if the religion said that you could get to god thru other religions, then they would lose people (some reasons being that some religions are less demanding then others.)
