Both of my arms have multiple small bumps that are pink with a dry dead skin top. I am concerned. They have been on my arms for a few years and are not going away. Does any one know what it could be?

Any available Dermatologists?

It's called Keratosis Pilaris. Me, my siblings, and my father all have a minor form of it. Alot of people have it I guess. Read the website. Or google it. Some treatments are available if it really bothers you.

It's where your skin is rubbing against clothing and causing your hair folicles to clogg up with dead skin,it can cause pimples too. Here's how to get the bumps gone,EVERY TIME you shower/bathe you take a wash cloth and scrub away where the bumps are. When you are dried off put on some sort of lotion for sensitive skin where you have scrubbed.(Lubriderm with oatmeal is great!!Get it at wal-mart for about $5.00) I promise this will work!It will feel smoother after just the first time of scrubbing, you can also use a pumice stone,(Get it at wal-mart in the footcare isle for $1.00)rub GENTLY over your bumps or you will be raw!!After 1 week the bumps will be gone whether you use a wash cloth or pumice. You won't have to scrub everyday after the bumps are gone, just 2 or 3 times a week. You will need to lotion up every 3 days too.Try it!! It worked for me!!

could they be pimples? I sometimes get small redish/pink bumps on my arms and when I don't pop them they usually turn into a dry skin place. If I leave them alone even longer, I notice that it's from an ingrown hair and they come out on their own.

It could just be dry skin. try using lotion. :)

or it could be psoriasis... in which case you'd have to see a dermatologist for medication.

it could also be Keratosis pilaris.
you need a beta hydroxy acid product, or anything with AHA's. exfoliating might help it too.

I have them too. I know lots of people who have them. I saw a cream for them once in Lucky Magazine but I didn't try it.
