I"m 5'7" and although my technically "ideal" weight is somewhere between 135 and 140, according to the charts, I never could maintain that without drastic measures. I found my personal ideal weight was about 150. So I say you're fine. Question to you is, how do you FEEL? Do you exercise a little every day? Eat good, healthy foods (lots of fruits and veggies, moderate amounts of processed sugars and fats, like cookies and cakes and cheeseburgers)? Then you're just fine. Eat healthy, get some exercise, drink your water, and forget about the scale.

According to the government, you can weigh anywhere from 115 to 154 and be considered healthy at your height. That certainly a wide range. I can't imagine that 115 would be okay, unless you had VERY small bones--I am 5'2" and would be quite thin at 115--that's what I weighed at age 15. If you are not happy with how you look or feel, you could probably lose 10-20 and still be healthy, but if you feel good, especially if you're active and have some muscle mass, you are probably fine. (A lb of muscle takes up less space than a lb of fat, so if you have more muscle, you will look smaller even if you weigh the same as someone who is carrying more fat and less muscle.)

I think it's perfectly healthy, but it depends on how you're carrying it. If it's all in the hips and butt, that's probably not as healthy as an even distribution. Also, have you asked your doctor? Maybe one of the more respected diet sites, like Weight Watchers, could indicate a healthy weight range. I'm 5'7" and weigh 126 and that's my ideal weight. For me it's all about whether my tummy is flat when I wear a shirt that comes above the waistline of my jeans. If you look good, feel good, cholesterol is fine etc, I'd be feeling pretty good about a 150lb weight. Own it!

Sounds a little thick to me, but weight is not always a good indicator. If you have a lot of fat and jiggle or high blood pressure, that's not healthy. But if you're happy with the way you look and you are healthy, then that's all that matters.

If you want to be healthy, you should check your cholesterol and triglyceride level. Also, you should eat healthy foods and limit your calories to just under the recommended allowance with respect to your size. That is a better marker on finding a healthy you and expanding your longevity.

I'm guessing your a lady, you can't just judge by weight and height, because you have to calculate the muscle weight too, but therer shouldn't be extra fat around your body, especially the stomach area, and thighs.

For a girl I would say it is a little chubby. However, I like chubby girls so it is alright with me. If you have waist or hip fat, then I would definately do something about it.
