My husband and his cousin, who are both Welsh say "I seen me ars e" This seems to be the main phrase, where they come from, for being somewhat annoyed. I don't know its origin though.

I think you misheard. It must have been "She's sold hurrahs" which is an ancient way of saying the woman in question has been playing others for a fool, for laughs. Yes, they had some creativity in the cursed days of yore.
