You only get white dog poo when a dog doesn't eat a lot of grain. I feed my dogs a raw (BARF) diet and they all have smaller, less stinky poo that turns white in a day or so and crumbles into dust. The commercial dog food formulas have changed so much over the years. If you read the labels, even on premium foods like science diet, the main ingredients (the first 3) are generally corn, wheat, or by products. A dogs digestive system isn't made to digest grains so you get more poo that is brown (the same color as it went in).

Good question. But now that you mention it...I don't see the white dog poo poo anymore. Maybe it's the formula of the new dog foods that are being sold or maybe the white dog poo poo is how it looks when it getss really old and is about to fertilize the soil and now the poo poo doesn't age in the same way. This is some serious poo poo that deserves some thought.

Wow, you're right. When I was a kid and our dog pooped in the back yard and the poop got old, it turned white. Nowadays, when our dog goes poop, it stays brown no matter how old it gets. Weird! I wonder why. Now this is going to drive me crazy!!
