I don't know if they feel threatened, but I've had the same problem. Sometimes they don't even value your intelligence, but you're smart enough to send them packing. they don't have the strength to see who you REALLY are.
I have the same problem, I'm smart, I'm an engineer (electronic), I speak three languages and am very culturally savvy. I have a great job, I'm proactive in it, I know what I want and how will I get there. And I also happen to want to look nice and look fashionable, so people don't get past that first impression that I must care more about my shoes than my brains. I enjoy sex, so I must be a slut and brains come in second place, right? Men have so many cobwebs in thier heads sometimes...

... because men are often intimidated by strong women. Intelligent, smart, independant women scare the sh*t out of males on a subconscious level.
Males are still struggling with the "new" concept of modern women, being independant and capable, especially when we have been programmed all our lives that men as so-called "superior" and women need to be "dominated".
Males are still being refered to as the stronger gender, but that's probably another modern fairy tale repeated to us to avoid insecurity issues!
I would have loved to have met an intelligent woman back in my school days, but alas, back then women only cared for the jocks, the popular types, and the dude with the car.
I know it sounds shallow but that's the way it was back then, I guess!
So yeah, like most people would say, men are intimidated by smart and intelligent women, which is probably why smart and intelligent woman either feign being simple-minded or end up being type-casted and stereotyped by males as "nerds" or the like.

Smart peole in general can't get good dates. Often your conversations are so esoteric your partner cannot relate. Hapens to smart girls and guys. All I can suggest is trying to meet guys at museums and otherintellectual venues and hope they are not gay/ See you at the Louvre, girlfriend!! (Two snaps and a circle!)

Some guys are intimidated by smart girls. Bottom line! You just have to find a man with the confidence to not be like that. And usually if you act like you're not interested in them, that will turn the guy on like crazy. I think they like to go after what they think they CAN"T have!

You're probably not looking in the rights places.
Try bookstores, libraries and universities. You'll find plenty of guys who'd be interested in smart girls.
Or go to websites like theSquare or DateSmartPeople.com; places made for people who like smart girls.

That aint true. I am 22 I did university in 2yrs and graduated with Hons, I have a great job and I am about to be married to the most wonderful man. Where do you go that you only find losers to date? You can do better than that there are good men out there dont sit and wait for them to drop into your lap go out there and find one.

well, to me i honestly think that smart grls always think logically and with facts to back everything up. but love is a mysterious and different feeling that cannot be explained. with logic, we are able to think clearly, but love has many possible outcomes and the future is unclear. so usually we arent that sure or outgoing enough for guys. smart girls should just break out of their shells and hav fun.
