I like Maya better. It's simple, is easy to pronounce, and has a lovely sound. (She will be able to spell it better when she starts to print, as well.)

I vote Aaliyah, it just seems to roll off the tounge better with the rest of the name. BTW I like the middle name pearl.

I like Aaliyah Pearl...But Maya Pearl is pretty as well...Tough decision...
For my son his dad let me have his 1st name and he got the 2nd name...Had we had another one I would of gotten the 2nd name and he got the 1st...
