Theres PF Chang's Chinese Cuisine, by Fortunoff's on Old Country Road. Its right near the Cheesecake Factory, which is also very cool.
There's the Blue Tequila across from Roosevelt Field Mall on OCR also. (Mexican food)
There's Ciao Baby on Surise Highway, Massapequa. (american/italian)
I would goto Amato's, also. Great italian (its on Merrick, but its Massapequa, not Amityville).
Whatver you do, buy some nice white zinfindel.

Its small, quaint, and beautifully decorated. The service is fantastic, and its decorated in maroons and beiges with low lighting. Its a perfect romantic atmosphere.
On the other side of Merrick Road in Massapequa, theres also Butera's Italian Restaurant. Also delicious and romantic..
I just think Thai Taste is different, and you wanna impress on the 1st date.

Jonathan's in Garden City Park on Jericho Tpke. Or try the Grand Luxe Cafe attached to Roosevelt Field Mall. An upscale CheeseCake Factory. If successful, go to Thomas' Eggery on Old Country Road, just east of the Meadowbrook, for breakfast. It's to die for.
