I dont think she would like it. Try to get her to eat fruit that tastes sweet so you can keep her away from refined sugar desserts. Then she will eat it later in life and avoid diabetes!

Grapefruit contains an extremelly dangerous chemical called brucine bifilius which is only dangerous to younger children. People like you and I can eat grapefruit with out ill effect because are bodies have developed immunity through smaller doses as we anamtotically progress. Hold off on the grapefruit till around 5 years.

Don't believe that person who quoted unnamed random studies. Grapefruit is one of the best things you can eat- uinless you are taking some medications, then don't.

Grapefruit is excellent - it tastes good, it's good for you, and it's mostly water so she won't get fat if she goes crazy for it!

They're so bitter, I'd be surprised if your daughter would even touch it! Unless you're putting on loads of sugar -- in which case, why not just give her an orange? Dunno if the extra acidity would be a problem.....best bet would be to talk to your pediatrician about it.

aside from the citric acid maybe hurting their stomach or their teeth i cant think of any reason , if she likes them though I see nothing wrong with giving her one on occasion... oranges are probably better though less acidic... both are good for vitamin c
