how about magazine cut-out pictures of people:
all kind of people: black, white, brown, yellow, Jew, Muslim, Pagan, punker, hippie, soldier, nurse, drug addict, prostitute.. etc.
and some big caption to the extent of "We are all god's children - love one another.."

How about decorating your board with the children of the church. Hang pictures of all the kids with their names. Let them draw some pictures and post them as well.

In our church we made our bulletin board into a prayer wall. People put up names and pictures of men and women and their families in the military.
