I drink Diet Rite Cola, which is sugar and caffeine free. It takes some getting used to - but think of it as a regular soda that the ice has melted in. I've been drinking it for over five years, and wouldn't drink any other kind now.

I stopped using sugar on almost everything - and also cut down on salt (which retains water). I eat smaller portions of everything, and yes, I did lose weight - starting in only about a week, and continuing for some time.

I think I did, at least it helped. I switched to diet about 10 years ago when I found out I was diabetic. I lost over 100 pounds total. It wasn't all the soda's but I'm sure that contributed a lot.

DON'T DRINK SODA no matter how good it is, because its what was stoping me from getting the body i wanted. I tried diet soda for like, 6 months and it was just bad tasteing and made me want to drink real soda. If you stop drinking it (i drank it all the time) and move to orange juice, cranberry juice, or even water you'll loose more weight. All of this was with diet and me being on my track team.

No, I didn't. But I am very petite so I wasn't really trying to. Now I have about 32 oz a day of Diet Coke, whereas before I was only having a soda occasionally as a treat.

you really don't lose weight if you eat like a pig but it does help not put on weigh. I've been drinking diet soda for about a year and it didn't make me lose weight. You should try drinking lots of water at least 8 cups a day don't over do it though you might feel sick due to th loss of minerials your body needs. Good Luck !!!!!

I don't drink regular or diet soda. A regular can of coke has 10 teaspoons of sugar in it, and diet soda has the fake sugars, like sweet n low in it, which are high in aspartame and very bad for your health. If consumed too much, it can cause heart problems. Be well.

Sort of..... I switched from sugared soda to unsweetened iced tea (then sweetened it with Splenda) and I did lose a lot of weight. I can't drink the artificial sweetner (Aspartame) found in most diet sodas because it does not agree with me.

Some people think if they switch to diet they can have other foods they wouldn't normally eat but that is bad. If you don't do that you have a chance at losing weight but excercize is always a key factor.

According to the latest research, the sugars found in diet soda are just as addictive as regular sugar, bummer huh? Seems like things that taste great are bad for us huh! Being fit means cutting these out almost completely and just having one every now and then, sorry about that.....
