This is no cure or remedy for a hangover. Only way to prevent one is to not get drunk. Only way to get rid of one is time.

There are as usual some good answers and some stupid ones. Yes, not drinking is of course the best way to avoid a hangover, but it hardly matters to those of us who do and it isn't a "remedy" of any kind for those unfortunates who need one.
First of all your drinking habits contribute significantly to the power of the hangover. The better, and purer the alcohol you are drinking, the less hangover you will suffer. If you get drunk on 3 Roses American whiskey you will end up with a worse hangover than if you get drunk on 18 year old Buchanan's Scotch or Cardinal Mendoza brandy! Beck's is way better than Bud. (there are many more impurities in cheaper booze and they will DOUBLE the effect of the damage)
You should always eat something when you are drinking. That is why really good bars (especially here in Mexico) and good hosts will always feed you! Again it will significantly reduce the effects.
(Of course not drinking those last 2, 3 or 7 which you didn't actually NEED can help a lot too....)
You are going to dehydrate after over-drinking as you all know and that causes a lot of the bad hangover effects. So drinking a glass of water and leaving another beside the bed before you go to sleep won't hurt you. (You KNOW you are going to need it as soon as you wake up!)
When you wake up and still feel like sh*it, you need to immediately take a double dose of your favorite anti-acid: bromo, alka-selzer, eno. picot, whatever. The ones in powder work much better for me that the pills. (drink while its fizzing - I don't know if it really helps, but it makes me feel better.) Take an extra strength pain reliever, or two or three, (or steal somebody's prescription painkiller).
Immediately take a double dose of daily vitamins with extra "C". (the alcohol, like sugar - its close cousin - "leaches" all the vitamins and minerals out of your body.) Then make your self a huge tomato (or clamato) juice with worchester sauce, lemon, salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce. Then make another. (If you don't like that, use fresh orange juice.) Drink nice healthy liquids until you can't take any more.
When the "bloat" from all that liquid dies down, start thinking about a REALLY nice breakfast (one that makes you feel hungry) and eat hearty. (nothing will intensify a hangover like an empty stomach)
Park yourself confortably in front of the TV and look for a really good football game. (or a good movie) - the rest of that day is f*ucked - just let it go....
If you start drinking again, sure, you will quickly get rid of the remaining symptoms, BUT you will also be making another (worse) problem for tomorrow morning. (Losing a day for a bad hangover is one thing, that's why God created the "Weekend" but losing a week well, that "rehab" material...........)

Midol is supposed to be the cure all for guys with hangovers. I prefer two excedrin migraine and a beer. Or if I can't stomach a beer 2 full bottles of gatorade is supposed to be very helpful. I usually don't have it in stock on a regular basis, so I've never tried it. But part of being hungover is being dehydrated, so anything that restores vitamins and water to your system should help counteract the feeling. Still... like everyone else said sleep is always the best option.

I didn't believe it until I tried it but Gatoraid totally helps me the morning after because the headache is usually caused by dehydration. Also, take vitamins before you go to bed. Other than that you just have to suffer. Oh, try not to mix too many types of alcohols when you are drinking, that will help a lot too. I've noticed that if I stay with one or two types I won't have a hangover the next day (or at least it will be a lot easier to deal with).

Prevention is the best medicine.
1. Alternate your drinks with water, or order water with your drink and nurse them together.
2. Try to have only 1 drink per hour.
3. If you wake up in the middle of the night after a night out, drink water or VitaminWater or Gatorade or something similar -- every time you wake up. I have friends who sleep with a bottle of water or gatorade at their bedside who swear by it. Every time their eyes open they slug some back.
4. Try taking Twinlab Radical Fighters during the night (before you go out and every few hours while you're boozing). It doesn't prevent me from a getting hangovers when I really overdo, but it does seem to make them less horrid.

To mitigate some of the effects of a hangover the next morning is to drink kool-aid before going to bed. If you fail to do that then turn up the stereo and drink a warm beer quickly the next morning.(belching helps) or try a strong bloody mary.

I'm being serious with this, a beer. It does the trick every time. I rarely get drunk and almost never get a hangover but if I do, one beer always works.

32 oz. gatorade, 4 slices of sourdough bread, and 2 to 4 aspirin. Best if taken after you are done with alcoholic beverages but before you go to sleep.
