I inherited the removeable face from my friend for a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP. This unit was made around 2005 and you may have seen it at Best Buy or Circuit City.. or maybe Frys Electronics.
WHERE, can I get JUST the body. I cannot find anywhere that collects junk radios with no faces. And can I call the manufacturer and order just the body do you think? I dont think so..

Thats a negative on the back end is more expensive. It is worthless. The faceplate is where the money is. So if I can get the body cheap I can use my faceplate. If I end up having to buy the whole thing new, I'll get it cheap off Ebay, and resell the old faceplate there for upwards of $100 to offset the cost of my unit.
Im trying to avoid that by just paying for the back end. Please email me any back-end connections you might have. Yahoo!™ does not condone or support any illegal activities on any of its public domains. blah blah.

try a pawn shop. But the face will work on any DEH 7000 seires radio. You may also need to look in the phone book for junk yards.

Sorry buddy but the faceplate isnt the more expensive part, you can get the faceplate for anywhere from 80 to 125 dollars, that radio cost 250 dollars brand new, the face plate is nothing more than a keyboard and mouse to the radio, the back end does all the work. The only reason the faceplates cost so much is beacuase they can charge you that and get away with it because of course you would rather pay 100 dollars for the faceplate than go spend 250 on a new unit.
But i can help ya anyway. I have that radio and Im tryin to sell if for 150, you can go sell the faceplate on ebay and get most of that back, I still have the box for it, the manual got mangeled in my car though, send me a email if you want to get it from me, you can look at the headunit on my cardomain web page, the links in my answers profile, I also got my subs for sale, 200 with the box, I also have the origanial boxes for those too, matchin numbers, id card, manual and all

It's doubtful...because so many car head units are vandalized every year, that if you do not have the original receipts the manufacture will not send you a replacement, your best bet is to call Pioneer and tell them your problem....Good luck.

buy yourself a new unit that you can trust It will not fail, because if you find one in a junk yard may not work properly or in the worst case will not last for long, so the best idea is get a new one in CIRCUIT CITY they have nice PIONEER CD/MP3/WMA PLAYERS and really dint cost that much

It's essentailly worthless. You might have luck on ebay, but the pack end is where all the magic happens and will be very expensive anyways......
