okay...your going to think im crazy but this has happened to me before. This is the ONLY thing that will fully and completely work. I myself am a mother of six children all between the ages of 8 and 22. What you need to do is buy some pickles and garlic. chop the garlic up and take the pickles out of the jar. put the chopped cloves of garlic in the pickle juice. and let sit over night. finally the next day, have your son take a shower, and before getting wet he should pour the mixture on his head. then rub it around. after letting it seep in for about 10 minutes, he should then rinse the hair with water, not shampoo. and then get out of the shower. the mixture of the garlic and picklejuice creates a reaction in the hair nolonger making your childs head habitable by lice. the lice will be gone in no time. Good luck, and God Bless.

call the nit free clinic, they will get rid of it for u. All they do is use a really tin comb which is approximatly $25.00. And comb it through ur kids hair while conditioner is in it. Simple. The whole thing cost about $250 if they do it. And for future advise, if u suspect ur kids have lice, put maonaise in ur kids hair, and leave it in for 2 hours atleast, that wash the moinaise out. The maonaise will sufficate any growing lice, before they hatch. Oh ya and also after u got rid of it wash any material that is washable (ex. bed sheets, towels ect.) P.S. Dont use the lice shampoos, they dont work at all!

Here is an native Indian remedy. Have naphthalene powdered. Mix with plain coconut oil. Apply to your kids hair and cover the hair with a cloth. wait for an hour and wash with a perfumed shampoo. For eggs repeat this once a week for 3 to 4 times. I am sure the lice would gone.

There are several kinds of head lice OTC medicine. The one called Nix doesn't work very well. If it says "multiple shampoos" it's not what you want. There is another one that is stronger that works better. Be sure that you take care of all your linens and even bed pillows at the same time that you shampoo your kids. Throw away or wash any hats or caps. If there are pillows they lie on on the couch, etc. consider pitching them.

I have been dealing with the same thing. My five-yr-old daughter got them about 3 wks ago. We have used Rid, and I thought we took care of it. We did the vacuuming, washing sheets, got new hairbrushes, everything. But I had trouble combing out the eggs. Everyday there seemed to be a few I missed. So finallly we went to the doctor and got a prescription. It was expensive but you leave it on the hair overnight and it is supposed to be more effective. Good luck!

go 2 the doctors and ask them for headlice medication
or you could:
1 - put your normal conditioner
2- then keep it on for ten minutes
3- come the lice out with a lice comb
4 - wash the conditioner out of your hair.
5. then keep using the lice comb on the wet hair
trust me it works
i hope i helped :)

when I worked for a pediatrician he would tell the parents to goop their hair with hair gel over night then wash out int the am, followed by a wash with Listerine mouth wash and it will kill them and make it allot easier to get out. Try it, allot of the parents said it works.
