and before you start that crap about me "not being able to handle a strong woman," that's not true at all. Being strong and being manly are not the same things. I like women who act like women, not women that act like men.

It's the women's movement..
They mistake "equally worth and important" for "being the same".
Sometimes women in manly environments like millitary or police force, thend to overcompensate a bit, so to prove themselves equal to the men, or at least not to be harassed by the men.
But most of all, it's about individualism.. women are educated there to be independent, strong, and not need, let alone, depend on a man.

Us women were granted so many of the same rights as men: work, voting, even the clothing that we are allowed to wear. Some women have this hard exterior on them especially if they have fought really hard with the men to get certain postions. I am a woman and I am very feminine, but I understand the aggressiveness sometimes that exudes from an American female who had to compete all her life. Now, if you are talking about butch women, or strong women's lib folks I have no clue why they are the way they are. But every woman has a story, and perhaps doing so many womenly things gets tiresome, and too girly :)

Women act manly to project strength so men don't try the dominant/submissive role playing. They are looking for a strong man who can handle them, but respect their agressiveness.

We need to be strong and aggressive to get anywhere. Even tho we have rights its still hard to get ahead, so we need to be aggressive. We don't believe in being meek and submitting, we are worth more than that.
