That's confusing as h*** and rather vague, if you ask me.

it just means they are not into you. DOn't take it persoanlly. You can't expect everyone to be attracted to you.

That's just a nice way of saying, "Ewww, I don't want you...not in this lifetime." I only say that to try not to hurt the other person's feelings and that's only if that person is nice and doesn't deserve to have his feelings hurt. You are right it is vague as h***. It was meant to be that way so that the rejected party can draw their own conclusion without the rejecting party seeming like a conceited villain.

it's not confusing and vague at all. You're not my type, means exactly what it says. The person is not what i'm looking for physically or emotionally.

A polite way of saying "I am not interested in or not attracted to you".

Don't take it personally. There are a gazillion trillion people on the planet and in my life I've only been attracted to 10 or so.

they were probably just trying to find a nice way of letting you down or want to only be friends, either that or they think they are to good for you which makes them a bi*** if you ask me, and you could do better dont let it get you down or discourage you from asking another, because there are better and more nice girls out there that would be willing to give you a chance...

i think its mostly about instant attraction or either they have gotten to know the person and its just not clicking if you know what i mean....its not personal because what attracts one person doesn't another so don't get hurt by someone saying that to you that just means the one for you is out there waiting and probably thinking the same thing.

They mean that they are not interested to get to know you in a romantic way or for love. They can be your friend but their character is different from yours.

A polite middle-class way of telling you to get lost. Quite a nice one, really. I wouldn't want to know EXACTLY why my date dumped me. Just move on & try not to think too much.

it is a polite way to say no and let you down easier than out right saying your ugly or stupid or smelly or short or fat or tall or skinny....whatever the real reason is. i know i'd rather hear i'm not someone's type than a harsh 'are you kidding me you are too ugly for me' or something.....

This person is not interested in dating or getting to know you intimately or romantically. Take the hint and move on.

It means that you can be the best thing for somebody, but you do not fulfill ALL the expectations of that other person.
