I don't understand why modern immigrants from any other country should be allowed any special privileges. All of my great-grandparents are from Mexico and came the US legally. I don't see why other immigrants shouldn't have to do the same.
As far as the be benefits they get here... I live in California and just as someone else posted- we have a hard time getting support. I applied for financial aid(Fafsa) and I won't even get any funds yet if I was from another country, I feel like I would have a better chance...
Now back to the question- I don't agree with cases I have heard of cops pulling you over because you look illegal. That's so horribly wrong on many levels. What I do think is fair is if someone has committed a crime, they should prove citizenship and if illegal, should be sent back to their home country after proper hearings, etc.
Americans commit enough crime so we don't need extra from other sources.

The problem is who will pay for them? Are they going to learn the language. The thing is they are not an American citizen. They are a citizen of Mexico. That alone means they don't have the same rights as a US citizen or legal immigrant.
What's sad is in CA an illegal immigrant gets better heath-care and benefits than citizens who are struggling to get by. I understand wanting to help others but they must not steal or take. They need to earn for themselves. Sadly though there are those that take advantage of illegal immigrants and use them as slave labor till caught.
Another problem is if an illegal immigrant come in the US and kills, hurts or steals from a US citizen do you know what happens? The citizens pay and the illegal alien gets a free ride home only to attempt to come back over our borders. I don't think you realize the harm of people coming and going through our borders as they please can do.
Don't get me wrong part of my family came to the US 100 yrs ago from Hungary. They went through immigration. No one gave them anything. They worked hard learned the language and bought land.
PS don't type in caps it's like your yelling at everyone and that off the bat pisses me off.

The Mexican Americans
There are no "pure" races in the world. In tracing the heredity of any group we soon discover that a great diversity of physical, social, and cultural traits are represented within a people. Mexican Americans are no exception.
After the revolutions against the mother country, this area became Mexico and its inhabitants became Mexican. But as Anglo-Americans settled in this area, the term Mexican gradually took on disparaging connotations. Therefore, Spanish Amer7can-particularly for some areas of northern New Mexico, southern Colorado, parts of Arizona and parts of California- became the preferred term. When the term Mexican was used in English it was considered to be quite derogatory, yet when the term Mexicano was used in Spanish by the Spanish-speaking, it was quite acceptable. In Texas the term Mexican acquired such bad connotations that for years Mexican Americans have been known as Latins or Latin Americans.

All Mexicans ARE Americans....
Geez get a basic education, Mexico is IN America.
There is no such a thing as ‘American’ nationality, America is not a nation America is a continent with many nations in it. The US never named itself the name of the United States is a designation it comes from the end of the Declaration of Independence, "WE, therefore, the Representatives of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in GENERAL CONGRESS, Assembled...". The preamble to the U.S. Constitution reiterated the phrase: "We the People of the United States..." (The authors of these two documents probably used the phrase "united states" in place of a list of colonies/states because they remained uncertain at the time of drafting which colonies/states would sign off on the sentiments therein.) The geographic term "America" specifies the states' home on the American continent.
It is therefor incorrect to refer to US citizens as Americans with the intent of denoting citizenship, or the United States as America with the intent of denoting a nation. Americans have a term for US citizens, we are called United Statesians by the rest of Americans, to say American with the intent of denoting citizenship or America when we mean the United States reflects poorly on our attitude towards the 70% of Americans that are not United Statesians.

i think of the unlawful immigrant situation is a collaboration between united states of america of america and Mexico to apply Mexican voters interior the call of inexpensive hard artwork and the unlawful drug industry. If Mexicans voters had a greater clever socioeconomic environment in Mexico then unlawful immigration may be way down. that may not the case.

I´m a 2nd generation Mexican-American (although I never use that term to identify myself) and I am against illegal immigration to the US. It took my dad years of blood, sweat and tears to obtain his Visa, even though he was married to my mom who is an American citizen, and I´m sickened by all these illegals who just waltz into the US and expect everything to be given to them on a silver platter. I and other natural born citizens do not have automatic rights to food, water and shelter so why should illegal aliens? We as American citizens certainly don´t have the same rights in Mexico as the illegal aliens want in the US.
