In addition to Catholicism, there are nuns in the following religions:
- Eastern Orthodox
- Anglican
- Lutheran
- Calvinist
- Buddhist
In Catholicism, the term nun is usually reserved for those women who live separated from the world in a cloister. Those who live in the world are usually called religious sisters or just sisters.
With love in Christ.

As far as I know, all nuns are Catholic and Catholicism is the only religion who has nuns. I think their are Monastic Communities in other religions but I believe they are strictly for men.

I don't know where Claire got the idea that you don't find nuns anymore. I am a Catholic and we have several in our parish. Other Christians apart from Catholics have nuns, but as I follow the one true faith, I think you should convert before giving your life to Christ.

You cannot become a *Catholic* nun but there are plenty of monastic communities where you can join and live.

As far as I know, the Catholics are the only ones with nuns. You can be a "sister" in any religion. You just cannot become a sister in the sense of being in the cloister without actually being Catholic. Good question!

Of coarse. You can be christian and a nun. I'm catholic and you don't really find nuns anymore, so it's good you're following God's call for you and expressing your faith and going through with your call.

Yes, you have orthodox christian monasteries.
I dont know where you live but mostly they are located in Russia, Greece, Romania, Armenia, Serbia, Egypt, Bulgaria, and few other countries which are predominantly orthodox. There may be some in US or England but am not sure.
For this however you would have to convert to orthodox christianity and to live by thier teachings.
