Just pick this as best answer for using my calculator.

To Jared R: Please don't insult people for answering a question...it is rude, immature, and a demonstration of your character. Believe me, I have likely taken way more Math than you as an Electrical Engineer and MBA. Further, I never said I used a physical calculator...I did it in my head too. Whoopee...such superiority.

yes, you do not need a calculator to solve this question just fraction knowledge.

first convert 5.5 into the fraction 11/2. then (25 x 11)/2 = 275/2 = 137.5

you don't need a calculator...just do 25 x 5 = 125
and then add 1/2 of 25 to that....or 12.5

125 + 12.5 = 137.5

now hows that vs. the loser that needed the calculator
