I'm really old, *smile* I turned 55 in July. I used to feel broken, but I don't anymore. I had some very bad times for many years. Then someone brought me to a bible teaching church and I began to study the bible. I also began to make different choices, and now my life is ordered, stable, peaceful and beautiful. There is a verse in the bible that says Jesus gives you "beauty for ashes", and it's all the truth. He restored my life and set my feet upon the rock of His word.

I used to be fearful and confused, I am now confident and assured. It's all because of Him.

I don't know if your question is referring to some pain you have inside...and I don't mean to just throw out some cliche to you that doesn't take into consideration how deep pain can go. But there is no one like Jesus for understanding and restoring a person's lost hope and dreams. He will give back what the "locusts took away".

Though Both Be Broken

Strong was the love of a teenage man
For the girl with whom his life was planned
Dreaming of her faith and loyalty
Her love could make him like royalty.

Before they started with married bliss,
Before they established happiness,
Promises were made, yet were so new,
She promptly found time to be untrue.

How untrue he would never be sure,
His own lies always far from the cure.
Fear of the lonely caused them to stay,
Though no forgiving could they display.

Somehow, the couple loved, and yet not.
Always the marriage remained distraught.
Without proof he could sense of her lies,
Slower of his sins would she realize.

Respect he sought was never there found
And so he took his cold heart to town.
When the marriage was almost lost
Neither man nor wife could bear the cost.

She looked once more, now saw his deep pain.
He looked once more, wanted her again.
She might try to lift her broken man.
He might try her heart to understand.

Near twenty years feared to speak her heart,
She learns he can love even the dark parts.
Near twenty years he felt so alone,
He stops dreaming an undeserved throne.

She might learn to be open, honest.
He might learn to accept and to trust.
Though both be broken, no longer pure
Freed and forgiven, grasp at the cure.

I'm 29 and I feel fine deep inside. Thanks for asking. Business is just OK right now and I lost my early pregnancy this week, but I've got my family and God is faithful.

30 years & I feel ALIVE in CHRIST. Praise God for the air in my lungs, food on my table, clothes on my back and a roof over my head. Everything else is just plain luxury that He showers me with. Praise God!

Bloodied, yes, but not broken. As cliche and corny as it may sound, I know I'll survive.
