Well cats are really loving animals. They need some time to see if they can trust their owner. Some cats need more time then others. If the cat fell loving and safe with you then she will show it in more ways-like leying down on the bed next to you, laying down on your hips or just trying to get your attention.Sometimes you need to give your cat more time so she can feel comfortable with you.Have fun with your new cat!!!I have 12 and it's so fun with them.I don't think that means all the sudden he loes you but i'm sure that means that he is getting close to you.

Yes, that is a sign of affection! As to why he didn't do it before, who knows? Must be your first cat, huh? You will learn as time goes on that they are really affectionate, loving, and somewhat intelligent creatures.
I have two cats myself. Both are male orange tabbies. They are the most affectionate cats my family has ever had!

I grew up with cats... When he rubs against you it is thier socail greeting. Cats will rub cheecks when they come together. Its a "Hi! I'm glad to see you!" In turn they expect to be greeted favorably.. and I'm sure you do. This took time because he needed to know if he liked you and trusted you. He has definately decided your "cool" Yes I think he loves you.

Bubba is wrong. Cats do have emotions. Your kitten will develop them as he grows up. My cat greets me enthusiastically when I come home. He shows a lot more love than many people have. I know when he's happy and I know when he's scared or excited. As cats grow up they like being petted more and will interact with you more. I taught mine tricks so playtime's more fun.

No, cats don't love, cats learn how to get what they want, cats are users, and yours is using you, don't fall for it, because if the cat had to claw you to death to get what it wanted then it surely would, that is why cats have those demonic eyes

Cats take a while to warm up. They have to really get to know you before they will lower themselves and let you in.

He probably trusts you, and knows that you are good to him and he is returning the favor.Basically, your cat knows you will be his friends and be loyal and he trusts you so he is giving YOU attention now!=)

wait untill he kneads your back, arms, ect. My cat will do this and will "massage: my back -somehow he knows right where it hurts. Also, a loving cat will head butt you to get you to rub your head on his, or scratch hius ears.
