If so how?
Everything i smell and taste is like azz, I'm wondering if my new cancer medicatition,Avastin, is lowering my potassium levels, my doctors are so far useless, and I'm miserable,I just started popping potassium pills today , just curius to see if anyone knows.I'm just an engineer. I don't do humans, just aircraft.please help I've lost 20 pounds in 2 months and can't afford to lose much more, I'm 6'2" 180#.

I'm guessing that since potassium is used in the krebs cycle for ATP cellular respiration and energy... that it is NOT related to taste. Some medications leave a bad taste all on their own so your tastes are simply "masked" rather than altered. ie... some meds leave a metallic taste even if it was from a pill.

My wife's sense of smell went through the roof when her potassium levels were dangerously low. She still has hyperosmia but it is always much worse when her potassium levels are down.
