I am having a problem with cough. Usually in the night time (after 10) I am having serious coughing fit like for 1 h without stopping and my arms are shaking. I think it can be coz of nerves. I made lots of tests and astma also, none was positive. I get calm just after nervine injections from ambulance doctor. Help me if you can!!

Yes it is possible. Try to do things that calm you and dont do too much excercise as that can have a harmful affect.

It could be sthg very serious; I am a medicine student and have a test in one of my books that will be able to help me find a remedy so u can get rid of that cough. I always recomend natural remedies they work a lot better than regular medicine. I will need a little more detailed information about your cough.
so I can find what would be the best for your case
you can write me at my e-mail: manuelt1881@hotmail.com

Do you also have stomach burns?

Often nightly caughing can be caused by stomach acid irritating the throat. Stress and greasy food can increase acid production and thus irritation, .. or could be Heliobacter Pylori, a bacteria that causes stomach irritation, higher production of acid and can lead to ulcers if untreated (can be treated with antibiotics). Blood test would reveil if this is the case.

Don't eat too much too close before going to bed at night (should try to not eat at least 3 hours before sleeping).

Again, if you cough AND you have stomach burns, it could very likely be caused by stomach acid.

Are you taking an "ace inhibitor?"
Blood pressure medicine (or whatever else)

I was put on that, and thought I was
going to cough myself to death!!
Day and night - hard, hard coughing.
It went on for a couple months.
I really thought I had lung cancer.

It was finally the druggist who gave me
a clue. The good ole doctor had
given me breathing treatments and
was making a ton of money on
my return visits!

I stopped the ace inhibitor and the
coughing stopped within HOURS!!
Talk to your druggist - not your DR!

yup, indeed coughing, hic-ups, and many other symptoms can be caused by stress. However, if you don't work nights, or haven't done something that makes you not want to go to bed, it is probably something else. It could be an allergy to something in your house.
