Moses and Aaron counted the men who were 20 years old or more who were able to serve in the army.

Reuben - 46,500.
Simeon - 59,300
Gad - 45,650
Judah - 74,600
Issachar - 54,400
Zebulun - 57,400
Ephraim - 40,500
Manasseh - 32,200
Benjamin - 35,400
Dan - 62,700
Asher - 41,500

The 12 Tribes are the Elite evangelists. 144,000

He talks about a Pre-tribulation Rapture and the Tribulation is that seven-year period of judgment on earth – Revelation chapters 6 to 18 – because we go up in chapter 4 and it only begins in chapter 6. We call it a pre-tribulation Rapture and the Rapture is I Thessalonians 4 verses 16 to 18, when the dead in Christ rise and the living go up with them to meet the Lord in the air and all in the twinkling of an eye, I Corinthians 15:52.

However, during the seven-year period of Tribulation, the greatest revival in history occurs as 144,000 evangelists swarm the world in Revelation 7 verses 4 to 8, and they are preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom – Matthew 24:14. The King is coming and a multitude like the sands of the sea, Revelation 7:9, is converted and verse 14 says, “They came out of the Great Tribulation and washed their robes, made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Because of it, death comes to those new converts during that seven-year period in Revelation 6:9, 13:50 and Revelation 20 verse 4. Now Christ comes back with His saints, Jude 14, and Daniel 12:2 - the Old Testament Jews are raised and at that point, all those who died during the Tribulation are also raised. I hope that answers your question.

Doogie is incorrect. Out of the entire 12 tribes of Israel, 144,000 will be selected as high priests to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the latter-days.

Numbering the tribes is a facetious act at best.

This is from Numbers 1 - the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. A census was taken of MEN only aged 20 or more who could still serve in the army. Rueben - 46,500; Simeon - 59,300; Gad - 45,650; Judah -74,600; Issachar - 54,400; Zebulun - 57,400; Ephraim - 40,500; Manasseh - 32,200; Benjamin - 35,400; dan - 62,700; Asher - 41,500 ; Naphtali - 53, 400 ;The total number was 603,550. The tribe of Levi was not counted. So how many old men, women and children is your guess.

thats like asking how many people were in the tribes of the americas when the europeans got here.

the tribes began with the 12 sons of Israel(Jacob) who had 2 wives and 2 concubines. His first wife Leah had 6 sons, her maid had 2, his second wife Rachel had 2 and her maid had 2. i beleive Leah also had a daughter but she does not count as she was a woman and they were not considered to be tribal heads.
they were more like property.

Each tribe began with one of the 12 tribes of Israel, which were Jacob's (I think) sons. Then they married and had kids, and their kids got married, etc. The Bible may have a more specific account or geneology of the tribes, check with Genesis.

There were 12,000 people in each of the 12 tribes.
12 x 12,000 = 144,000 total.

It depends. The population of each tribe changed at times.

I don't believe there was ever a number mentioned that detailed the tribes as far as population historically speaking. Now if you look in the book of Revelation as to the coming end times you will see that there were 12,000 from each tribe that were chosen and sealed:

144,000 Sealed

1After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3"Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.
5From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed,
from the tribe of Reuben 12,000,
from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
6from the tribe of Asher 12,000,
from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000,
from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
7from the tribe of Simeon 12,000,
from the tribe of Levi 12,000,
from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
8from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000,
from the tribe of Joseph 12,000,
from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.

Even this is not a number that represents the total population of each tribe but the number of people per tribe that God will choose to represent Him as His messengers during the end times. These that were chosen were members of each tribe that lived a holy life. We see this reference again in Revelation 14:

The Lamb and the 144,000

1Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. 2And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.

So the exact number that makes up each tribe is unknown.
