Had one for two years; he's like my shadow! :-) Just haven't met any other Aussie owners out there...

Red Dog. That's what the kids named him. He was a Red-Tri Australian Sheppard. Died of old age. Still saddens me. Best dog in the world and the smartest ever! He would herd us and had little trails in his huge back yard. I loved that dog so much! We all did. He was a Frisbee champ, too. He was never without his Frisbee...ever.

I lived with an Aussie for 2 years and met several at the local dog park. Honestly, I can't stand the breed as a city dog. They should be kept on farms or at least very large properties. The one I lived with was a rescue too, she ran along side a bike for 15-30 mins at least twice and sometimes 3 times a day and she was still outright crazy... I'm glad you get along with yours ;-) My ex's had some major problems.

Not Aussie, but Krautzies... Yeap. I, we have 2 German Shepherds and they're my shadows as well though. They are 100lbs shadows. They even lay behind my rolling chair as I sit here typing, and I'm afraid to move. Don't wan't to run over their toes, ears or noses.

Same here...have never heard of anyone else who had one. Duke was my dog's name. Could share so many funny stories about him - he was very protective, especially of my daughter, and like a shadow also. We got him when we lived in Florida. Would be interesting to know if that's where you are...would explain a lot as to why I've never been able to find another.

I envy your good fortune to have him.

I have an Austrailian Shepherd. He is six years old and thinks he is a seal. He will empty is water bucket and toss it in the air, bouncing it off of his nose.
