Broccoli rabe can look intimidating, because of its volume, but it will give up a lot of liquid and shrink as you cook it. Here's how I like to do it:
(1) Wash the broccoli rabe. You don't have to dry it too thoroughly.
(2) Get a large skillet (or wok), and get it up to temperature, at high heat.
(3) Sweat a clove or two of garlic in a small -- really, just a touch -- of oil (safflower or some other high heat oil)
(4) Add your still somewhat wet rabe to the skillet. Toss it around the pan for maybe a minute or two, until it starts to wilt.
That's it. If you want, you can toss it in some lemon juice, but I usually serve it as is.

Slow boiling water but the process does not take very long so you need to keep an eye on the rabe as it cooks up very easily.

Wash it off really good. Then heat up some oil in a fry pan and saute. If you like garlic add some sliced garlic to the oil before putting in the broccoli.
