Debra, I'm always interested to read what you have to say, though sometimes I find your approach a little like you think you know best & have all the right answers.
One thing I've noticed is that you work so hard to filter everything you say through your faith system. You do it very sincerely, but the problem is that it doesn't end up being truly sincere because it gives the impression that you write what you "should be thinking" rather than what you really are thinking.
I think that's why people are so hard on you. If I've been a little tough on you that's why. Just say what you really think... & I mean really think. If you say you already do, then you're not digging deep enough, because we all know it. It's a good test to know how much you've really let Jesus touch your heart.
People in religious groups often put so much pressure on each other to tow the line, and it results in a pseudo spirituality. Then we take credit our "good behavior", when actually if left to ourslves we would be acting completely different.
If you say the wrong thing on here, it's OK because eventually, through God's help & through your personal integrity, your ability to effectively write things that will be healing to other people will increase tremendously.
I try to tell the truth as best as I can see it. I don't always know the best thing to say, or the best way to say it. I pray over time that my love for other people and discernment of what to say will increase. How will that happen if I don't practice?
I believe that you really want to heal people with your insights and I think that is very good. I hope you don't leave Yahoo Answers. It's better for you than you think, and you're better for a lot of people than they would care to admit.
God bless

Just because someone takes offence doesn't mean they have the right to, nor need you demand their forgiveness. It is as likely their "offence" was a means of attacking you - for which you are blameless.
Nevertheless, sorry you will be disappearing Debra - might you not simply spend less time here at a sitting than go altogether? Whatever claims your time from now on, I hope it is fulfilling.
