The Aztecs had harsh punishments. The criminals were taken to a court where there was a group of judges who would decide the punishment if he was guilty. Sometimes the emperor would pronounce the sentence. In this way the Aztec judicial system was somewhat like ours today. The emperor would act as a judge and specially chosen members of the community would act as a jury.

So the Aztecs didn't just let the Spanish come in to their land and start killing them off and do nothing about it. Don't you remember what your ancestors did to the Indians that lived in the land that you live on. The Indians in good faith helped the settlers to survive the cold because the dumba**e* didn't know what to do. They also didn't have food and the Indians gave them and showed them how to grow crops. Then the big bad Americans go and kill and torture the ones that feed them. The Americans tortured, assasinated and raped them. That wasn't enough you also killed the horses and buffalo with them. Talk about when a dog bites the hand that feed him right headneckchest. Those filthy Americans that have no respect someone should kill those bit****.

Well, one has to wonder what your point is given that what you call the "insane, idiotic philosophy of AZTLAN" isn't really all that much different than the barbaric, moronic philosophy of Christianity that justified slavery, the extermination of indigenous people, and the racist dialectic of Christian Identity.
One has to wonder what it is that makes all the white trash come out of the woodwork to cry in their beers about how everyone else is taking their jobs. Waaaaaaaaah! Afraid all the best places in the trailer park are going to be taken by people who won't put up with you and your ilk?

What does an ancient culture have to do with society today? They can't help who their ancestors were. Yes to people on the outside it was barbaric, but to the aztecs it was normal life. Get over it.

Yeah, I knew about the bloody history of the Aztecs. My dad actually grew up in the area the article is talking about so the people who carried out these sacrifices are probably my great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandparents!

So you are trying to insult not only illegal immigrants, but many of their ancestors? Give me a break, do you really want them to talk about ours? When they sacrificed people back then the people being sacrificed were all for it, it was a part of their religion. Do they knock your religion? Get off your high horse and ask something about immigration!

You also failed to mention how the Spanish brutalized the Aztecs. And virtually they became extinct due to the Spanish conquest and the diseases they brought to the Aztec's. The Aztec's welcomed the Spanish and the Spanish exploited them....

I think it's pretty cool to learn something new about the Aztecs. Oh, and as for your illegals comment, that was pretty ignorant, arrogant, and hypocritical of you to say that considering that you are just a child who believes that your country is for everyone (like your country preaches) but says things like that.

Don't have to. It's historical fact what the Pre Columbian cultures did. Know how many tourists have been killed by accident by slipping and rolling down those pyramids in Mexico? That's a cognizant design element.
We're more advanced. We use the buck.
