as I know, most muslims never drink. but what about jews?

It is not a 'religion' that stops people from drinking alcohol; it is their personal choice.

well according to the bible, god allows drinking of alcohol. however that appears in timothy (in the new testament) and the jews dont believe the new testament. and all ive found int he old testament is direct instruction (to certain people he said could not drink wine). no general.
1 Timothy 5:23
Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.

Of course. But Muslims drink also, even though the Qur'an prohibits it. Saudi Arabia prohibits alcohol import, but that does not mean that you cannot get it; when I was there ten years ago, the going price for a bottle of Black Label was $500.

Wine with meals is the norm I think. I have often wondered on these religious Holidays are the minors allowed to have some wine as some public schools might expel them if they found out, and have the parents locked up.

Yes. In fact, Jews must drink four glasses of wine at Passover and should be drunk enough at the end of Purim that that can't tell Mordecai from Haman.

Yes we do. And in many cases it is mandated. On one particular holiday, we get very drunk.
Interestingly, jews have an exceptionally low alcoholism rate compared to other religions/races etc...

Yup. Especially during major holiday celebrations. And wine on Shabbos. Also at simchas like weddings, bar- and bat-mitzvahs.

My Jewish and Muslim friends do. Matter of fact, neither practice their birth-religion so I suppose that was an excuse for us to get polluted last Friday!
