JoBu agrees with you. Some people have to learn that they are not all mighty and powerfull, and what right do they have answering a question with some snide comment about you being stupid or foolish for even asking the question. If these people jsut drank more rum, they would be more chill. JoBu would love to see some people make comments toward him face to face.

Actually, I make it a habit to say exactly what I want to say to a person either online or off. Just thinking about that whole reasoning of I would rather have someone say what they thought to my face instead of behind my back. It doesn't mean that it has to be completely rude, but honesty is a good quality as well. And sometimes sarcasm is going to come out if I happen to think what the other person said is a little too stupid, or if the answer is so blatantly obvious that the question shouldn't have even been asked...i.e. Use some common sense!

I am a bit*h in person. Some of these perverts wouldn't want to meet me. As with others on here. Nobody knows anyone here. In person you could say something to a murderer and you wouldn't know. Its safer the way it is. So you are wrong about some people acting on the computer. I'm the same in person. Plus some of my rude comments here I would have no reason to say to a stranger. How many strangers ask me "how do I stop molesting my 3 year old?'' Questions like that deserve rude answers especially when ALL of their questions are just to get a rise out of others. I answer the serious questions with serious answers and the dumb ones with dumb answers.

i guess that's a prize to pay for asking strangers about something that is very important to you. you also have to realize that there are people who post questions that are utterly ridiculous and i guess people who answer just get the habit of being rude to each other. don't worry, dont stop asking questions, just read the answers that you like and ignore the ones you don't. same as in real life, so u won't be in too much trouble, just ignore those that annoy you.

You know the reason they they feel they can get away with it, you just have to realize that anyone who insults you is projecting their own insecurities and it doesn't necessarily reflect on you at all. No one else can tell you who you are. The opinions of strangers simply don't matter and should be ignored. Only the criticisms of loved ones should be given any consideration, and even then it's still up to you.

Whatever my answer is comes from my heart. I never tell people to do dumb things or are rude to any answers. Whatever I write down here, I can tell them face-to-face. Writing down answers actually helps me improve my writing skills and grammar. Sorry that you encounter these problems, but you can always post your question here and I bet there are some genuine people who will give you a real answer!

I think you're right. It's kind of like road rage. I've heard it said that drivers are much more courteous if you make eye contact with them. If it's just a car you're fussing at (or a computer) then you can be as rude as you want, I guess, but if it's a person, it's different.

I think it's because people know and feel that the anonymity of sitting behind a computer, or even being on the telephone, is nothing compared to the physical harm that could be felt by the person instigating the argument. =) and stuff...
